Caramel Apple Cupcakes Recipe



Spiced cupcakes are filled with fresh apples and then topped with caramel sauce and a thick caramel icing in these Caramel Apple Cupcakes that are perfect for fall.

Serves: 24 cupcakes

Ingredients

Cupcakes:
½ cup butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon allspice
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon cloves
¾ cup milk
2 cups chopped tart apples

Topping:
½ cup caramel apple dip (found in the produce section)
½ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons heavy cream
3 cups powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
